Beyond the US, other countries are also starting to look at maritime capabilites. In Israel, Controp has been one of the developers leading from the front when it comes to configuring payloads for the maritime environment. The company designs and manufactures several stabilised camera payloads, which are suitable for such applications.
Controp's STAMP range is currently used in a number of vertical take-off and landing maritime vehicles because of its compact size and weight. All of the company's payloads feature its thermal imaging camera, which Controp says has several unique features setting it apart from other products on the market. These include a continuous zoom lens with three fields of view and magnification levels. In addition, the improved algorithms enable a high-quality image even when there is a 'hot spot' in the picture, such as an explosion or fire. |
